Checking the readability of a PDF file

A PDF file is readable if the text in the PDF is recognized as text rather than as an image. You can check if a PDF file is readable. You can check if all the text has been recognized and you can see what text will be read out loud.

Do one of the following:
  • On the PDF Tools tab in the Prepare document group, select the Document content option and check in the Document content window that the text in the document has been recognized correctly.
  • Press F7 and check to see if all the letters are in a separately colored field.
  • Open the PDF document in SprintPlus. A message will appear if the document is not readable.
