The Mind Express window consists of five areas. Depending on the mode you are working in, some or all of these areas are visible.

Colored bar
Indicates that Edit mode is active. The colored bar only appears if the Edit mode indicator option is checked in the Tools > Options... menu.

Communication grid
Users of Mind Express usually only get to see this area.

Toolbar
This toolbar only appears in Edit mode and is used to edit the cells quickly.

Title bar
The title bar shows the name of the program (Mind Express), the name of the document (for example: me4_eng), and the name of the page (for example: Page 1).

Menu bar
The menu bar gives you access to the File, Edit, Document, Tools and Help menus.
