E-mail in Mind Express settings

Before you can use Mind Express to send e-mails, you must first configure the e-mail settings.
Note: Mind Express only works with POP3 accounts.
  1. Choose Tools > E-mail > Settings....
  2. Choose the Server Settings tab and enter the following details in the User Information group box:
    Field Explanation
    Name: Enter your name as you would like it to be displayed when sending an e-mail.
    E-mail address Enter your e-mail address.
  3. Enter the following details in the Server Information: group box:
    Field Explanation
    Configuration: Choose the desired configuration for your e-mail. For example: gmail, hotmail, ... The incoming and outgoing e-mail details on the Advanced tab are completed automatically.
    Login name: Enter the user's account name.
    Password: Enter the password for the e-mail account.
  4. Select the Only receive e-mails from people from address book option if you only want to receive e-mails from your contacts in the Mind Express address book.
    E-mails from unknown senders will be blocked, but are available in the inbox. Choose Tools > E-mail > Inbox.
  5. Choose the Advanced tab and enter the following details:
    Settings Explanation
    Incoming E-mail: Enter the correct server for incoming e-mail, depending on the user's provider.
    Portnumber for incoming e-mail server: Enter the port number for incoming e-mail, depending on your Internet provider. These details are automatically completed, depending on the selected configuration (for example gmail) on the Server Settings tab.
    This server requires a secure connection (SSL) Specify whether or not a secure connection is required for this server.
    Outgoing E-mail: Enter the correct server for outgoing e-mail, depending on the user's provider.
    Portnumber for outgoing e-mail server: Enter the port number for outgoing e-mail, depending on your Internet provider. These details are automatically completed, depending on the selected configuration (for example gmail) on the Server Settings tab.
    This server requires a secure connection (TLS) Specify whether or not a secure connection is required for this server.
    Authentication required for outgoing e-mails Select this option if the server also needs the login details for sending e-mails.

    Note: The necessary settings also need to be configured for the account. The account must be set to POP, the security must be correctly configured and if Outlook is being used, it is necessary to save the e-mails on the server, so not to delete them.
    Note: For all other accounts, please refer to your provider's documentation or contact your distributor's support department.
  6. Choose the Sounds tab and select the sounds you want to hear when the e-mail has been sent, if there was an error sending the e-mail, and when you receive new messages.
    Select Visual feedback if you want a message to appear on your screen. If you do not want a sound to accompany a specific action, then deselect the option next to the sound.
  7. Click OK.
