Setting up automatic selection after auto-selection time in scanning selection

Automatic selection after a user-defined auto-selection time is only available with the following step methods:
  • As long as you press and hold switch 1
  • If you press switch 1
  1. Choose Menu > Settings.
  2. Choose Access.
  3. Choose Scanning.
  4. In the Select options group, choose Access method, Automatic (after auto selection time) from the drop-down list.
  5. Set the following options:

    Auto select time The cell is automatically selected after the specified time, unless you continue to advance before the time has expired.

    Drag the slider to set the auto-select time. You can fine-tune the auto-select time with and .

    Perform action From the drop-down list, select one of the following options:
    • When pressing: the selection is made when the switch is pressed. You can also set the Acceptance time (choose for more info) by dragging the slider or by fine-tuning with and .
    • When releasing: the selection is made when the switch is released.
    Use mouse while scanning This allows an instructor to select cells with the mouse while scanning. Choose Yes to enable this option.
    Return to beginning After the selection, scanning starts again at the first cell or series of cells. Choose Yes to enable this option.
    Delay time after selection After a selection, all input from switch 2 (selector) is ignored for a set period of time. This option prevents a user from activating involuntary multiple selections.

    Drag the slider to set the delay time after selection. You can fine-tune the delay time after selection with and .
